- The HICOM is a team which sits at the top of the British Army's chain of command and includes the highest ranking members of staff. They are tasked with making the toughest of decisions in regards to the entire military but always have the personnel's best interest at heart; they are to ensure that personnel's military experience at the British Armed Forces is of high quality.

- The British Army is expected to achieve all of its objectives promptly. This is only possible with the British Armed Forces' senior administration staff also known as the Executive Committee of the Army Board (ECAB), also simply known as just the Army Board. Excluding the CGS, ACGS, MILSEC and CLF, every position within the ECAB has a specific job description and together, the team is able to manage all aspects of a military organisation.
