SOP5: Advanced Development Training (ADT)

PREAMBLE
Advanced Development Training (ADT) sessions are conducted by members of Career Pathways which are essential to one's career development. Some of these ADT's are required before becoming eligible for promotion or before even given a rank if an individual has transferred into the British Armed Forces. This document serves to outline every possible ADT session.

Army Media Centre (AMC)

• {A} - Introduction to Public Affairs

Army Personnel Centre (APC)

• {C} - Introduction to Career Pathways
• {I} - Introduction to the Army Personnel Centre
• {T} - Introduction to Transfer Protocol
• {U} - Awarded only after acquiring {C}, {I} and {T}. This is because {U} = {C} + {I} + {T}

Army Recruitment & Training Department (ARTD)

• {^} - Basic Training Skills
• {G} - HQ Operations Guide

• [1] - Non-Commissioned Officer Progression Course
• [2] - Warrant Officer Leadership Course
• [3] - Royal Military Academy Sandhurst's Commissionining Course 

Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO)

• {B} - Basic Military Courtesy
• {F} - Basic Diplomatic Skills 
• {N} - Basic Negotiation Skills 
• {K} - Awarded only after acquiring {B}, {F} and {N}. This is because {K} =  {B} + {F} + {N} 

Office of the Provost Marshal of the Army (OPMA)

• {Q} - Basic Military Professionalism 
• {S} - Background Check
• {X} - Identifying Undesirable Recruits
• {Z} - Awarded only after acquiring {Q}, {S} and {X}. This is because {Z} = {Q} + {S} + {X}

United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF)

• {%} - Basic Cyber Security 
• {O} - Advanced Cyber Security
• {W} - Awarded only after acquiring {%} and {O}. This is because {W} = {%} + {O}
